West Florida Hospital
Family Birthplace
At The Family Birthplace, we help new parents plan family-centered birth experiences to perfectly fit their own needs, desires and expectations.Mothers remain in the same large private maternity suite throughout labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum care. One-on-one nursing support is provided throughout labor and delivery. Our specialists -- physicians, a certified nurse midwife and nurses -- are dedicated to helping make the birth of the baby an experience parents will always treasure.
Heart Center
West Florida Hospital's Heart Center offers a full range of diagnostic procedures, including cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, electrophysiology studies, stress tests, nuclear cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation. Treatment options include angioplasty, stents, rotoblator, permanent pacemakers, radio frequency ablation, transmyocardial revascularization and coronary artery bypass (open heart) surgery. Our Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology programs are the only nationally-accredited programs in the Panhandle. The Heart Center also provides community education and screening programs to assist with the early detection and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Memory Disorder Clinic
The Memory Disorder Clinic is the only clinic serving an eight-county area in Northwest Florida that is designated by the State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs. The Clinic provides a comprehensive evaluation in an accessible, convenient manner for patients concerned about memory disorders, Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias.
Neuroscience Services
Our team of neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists and a highly trained nursing staff, treat conditions ranging from brain and spinal cord injuries to complex neurological diseases.
Located adjacent to West Florida Hospital, the Rehabilitation Institute is a state-designated Brain and Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation facility. Here, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physicians also treat patients with stroke and other neurological conditions. Neuroscience Services also includes a nationally-accredited Sleep Disorders Lab and the area's first Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
Orthopaedic Services
West Florida Hospital offers a comprehensive Orthopaedic Program to treat acute fractures, chronic pain, arthritic conditions, sports and work-related injuries, and degenerative bone diseases. Diagnostic services include three-dimensional reconstructive capabilities, tomography, CT and MRI scanning. A specialized nursing unit is dedicated to the care of orthopedic patients with a staff of highly trained orthopaedic surgeons, nurses, physical therapists and other specialists. The "Total Joint Program" offers pre-surgery exercise and education for hip and knee patients. Orthopaedic staff and programs work in close cooperation with The Rehabilitation Institute to provide comprehensive care for our patients throughout Northwest Florida and South Alabama.
Rehabilitation Institute
When an accident, injury or physical disability changes a person's ability to function, West Florida Hospital's Rehabilitation Institute provides quality inpatient and outpatient care. The Rehabilitation Institute is the only comprehensive medical rehabilitation hospital in the Pensacola area and contains three distinct units: Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury and General Rehabilitation. The professionals at The Rehabilitation Institute utilize a highly specialized team approach to patient care and offer a wide range of services and treatments.
The Pavilion
The Pavilion, a 73-bed full service psychiatric hospital located on our main campus, provides adult and geriatric psychiatric treatment for adults through seniors. Although physically adjoined to West Florida Hospital, The Pavilion is a separate facility, ensuring confidentiality and patient privacy. Each program of The Pavilion is carefully designed to meet the specific needs of the patients so that appropriate and effective treatment is provided.
West Florida Behavioral Health Associates
West Florida Behavioral Health Associates, a support service of West Florida Hospital, includes psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists who provide behavioral health assessment and care to adults over age 18. The professional staff, with the assistance of the support staff, performs with the highest regard for the patients we serve.
